Unit 8 Podcast CM313: Tools for the Digtal Age

I welcome you here today and I pray that this small seed bless you in a huge way. I was instructed to record this in order to lift up the broken hearted, to strengthen the weak and to encourage the ones who has given up. I was told to tell you that the situations that you are experiencing is just a test and for you to stay strong and do not lose faith. When you are faced with a difficult decision or just wondering how you are going to make it through yet another trial, do not lose your faith. In the book of James the first chapter, 2nd verse it begins by saying, My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything. (My Bible Scripture, 2012) So let me suggest this to you, when you experience difficultly and trials search the bible to see what God has to say about the issue. For instance, if you feel abandoned, it is written that He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you have a shortage of any kind, it is written that He will supply all your needs. So, no matter what the situation is, it is written that there is nothing too hard for the Lord. Continuing on in the book of James: it says If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn't find fault with them. When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea. A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord. A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything. (My Bible Scripture, 2012) It goes on to say in verse 12, Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (My Bible Scripture, 2012) I thank God for His powerful Word. It is written that we should ask for what we need or desire, believe that we will receive it and we will. Never doubt how much He loves and care for you. He is waiting on you to come to Him to rest. He wants to bless you, heal you and protect you, just ask. It’s quite simply, ask, believe then receive. When the trials come and they will come. When the enemy shows up and creates trouble. When your friends betray you or when the children misbehave, remember it’s just a test. Even when the doctor walks away, because he doesn’t know what is causing the illness; and even when you cannot make ends meet with your finances, remember it’s just a test. Believe, even when you have cried all-night and you cannot see your way out of the situation, remember it’s just a test. There’s a song that I sing when I’m feeling over burden and it makes me feel refreshed and blessed. It was written by Bishop T.D. Jakes and the title of it is “This test is your storm” and the lyrics are; I have listened to you, I have heard your request, I've come to tell you that it's only a test, Just hold on, through your storm, be strong, just Hold on, this test is your storm, but it won’t be long ,go through, hold on.
